Before the Chibok young ladies, there were the Buni Yadi young men. Four years back, Boko Haram guerillas assaulted and slaughtered 58 male understudies of Federal Government College, Buni Yadi, Yobe state, for accepting “western education”. 

Abdulkadir Abubakar, one of the aggressors blamed for being a Boko Haram spy and cell pioneer in Buni Yadi, as of late stopped for a moment to talk with TheCable at a military office where he is being confined, after his capture in 2017.  

As indicated by him: “Myself and two other Boko Haram commanders, Abu Fatima and Paper, led most of the attacks on schools in Yobe between 2013 and 2014." 

He says the horrendous assaults on schools and understudies were composed and executed through knowledge social event and systems mapped out under his watch. He asserts Shekau “unilaterally” requested assaults on schools, mosques, places of worship and advertises, and furthermore requested snatching and assault. 

“We were also the ones behind the abduction of students at Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok. We also carried out attacks on schools in Potiskum, Mamudo, Damagun, Wagir and Ngarzarma, all in Yobe state,”  he reviews. . 

“I wholeheartedly regret my actions and hope the Almighty Allah will forgive me. Allah said he will forgive whoever repents and asks him for forgiveness. I have repented and sought forgiveness.”
