Yang, a member of the Central Military Commission (CMC), committed suicide at home in Beijing on Nov. 23 after authorities launched an investigation against him" He was being investigated over links to Guo Boxiong and Xu Caihou, according to CMC.

The embattled former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Taskforce Team, PRTT, Abdulrasheed Maina, has denied naming the Chairman of the Senate Ad-Hoc committee on probing his reinstatement, Emmanuel Paulker, in the list of those who re-looted properties he recovered from pension thieves.

Maina in a statement by his spokesman, Mohammed Sabo, said he has never mentioned Sen. Paulker nor has he ever met with the said senator.

The Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winfred Oyo-Ita, has insisted that letters came from the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF, to the Federal Civil Service Commission, FCSC, directing the reinstatement of ex-pension boss, Abdurasheed Maina.

Oyo-Ita made this revelation when she appeared before the House of Representatives committee investigating the disappearance, reappearance and reinstatement of Maina in the federal civil service on Thursday.
