NSCDC suspends personnel who beat-up tanker driver

e Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, has said a panel has been set-up to investigate the case of the corps’ personnel who allegedly beat up a tanker driver.  Muhammadu made this known while addressing the agency’s personnel following the incident that occurred in Lagos.  He said ''personnel must be of good behaviour by obeying the Public Service rules as stipulated in the Public Service Charter and Scheme of Service''.  He described the whole situation as unfortunate, adding that the perpetrators will not go unpunished as they have been arrested and detained, while NSCDC has set up a panel of inquiry to investigate the case.  He added that the victims are to appear before the panel for their testimonies and that the affected personnel have been suspended pending the conclusion of the case by the panel.
