National Assembly Appoints New Clerk

National Assembly Service Commission has confirmed the appointment of Ataba sani-omolori as the substantive clerk.
The new clerk, who has been in acting capacity takes over from Salisu Maikasuwa who has been on terminal leave since May. Sani Omolori’s appointment by the National Assembly Service Commission takes effect from August 15, 2016.

The decision was taken at the commissions 443rd meeting.
Sani- Omolori was a former Clerk of the House of Representatives before he was appointed as the Clerk of the National Assembly.
The appointment was made on Wednesday in a letter signed by the Executive Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission, Adamu Fika.
He attended the Royal Institute of Public Administration, London where he took a course in Legislative Drafting in 1992.
He also attended Legal Drafting Courses at the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in 1991 and the Public Law Centre, New Orleans, Luciana USA in June 2001.
