Guest Post: Django Girls Port Harcourt is a part of bigger initiative

Django Girls Port Harcourt is a part of bigger initiative: Django Girls. It is a non-profit organization and events are organized by volunteers in different places of the world.

It was a memorable & mouth watering event, clustered with a lot of activities, fully participating audience and resounding coaches.  The fabulous-free programming workshop for women, to encourage them become female programmers was worthy of an applause.

Women should really be encouraged to involve in programming because it is fun and there is no limit to what can be achieved. I'm majorly part of this program to have coaching experience and hope to soon organise Django girls in Minna.- Mary Alenoghena (Female Coach)

I am glad it was a successful and wonderful event. I really feel there is a lot to be done in order to bring the female gender to grasp this bit of knowledge. - Tina Wama Ogonor(Organizer)

The programme kicked off on 22nd July and ended on the 23rd July, 2016.
