A failed Syrian Asylum seeker has blown himself up and injured 15 other people with a backpack bomb near a festival in South German.
The 27-year-old man detonated the device after he was stopped from entering into the music festival.

Florida Nightclub Shooting

Two people have been killed and up to 16 more injured in a shooting at a nightclub in the Florida city of Fort Myers.

Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) on Friday told President Muhammadu Buhari to stop deceiving the people and international community that his administration is in talks with its members in the region.
The destructive militant group bombing oil facilities in the Niger Delta declared emphatically that it is not aware of any peace talks with the Federal Government.
NDA’s position was in response to Thursday’s claim by President Muhammadu Buhari that his government is talking to the militants in the region.

 The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, has says that the Nigerian economy is now in recession, while briefing the Senate on the state of the nation’s economy, she was however emphatic that the recession was technical and would be short-lived.
Her counterpart in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, who briefed State House correspondents after the 69th meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC), said the economy was “technically in recession”, adding however that it would start to grow by the end of the third quarter of 2016.

Fire Outbreak at the Mohammed Abubakar Rimi Market in Kano

An early morning fire has burnt the foodstuffs section of Mohammed Abubakar Rimi market popularly known as Sabon-Gari market.
The fire which started in the wee hours of Saturday when traders and marketers were at home preparing to come out for their normal business activities.
An eyewitness, Adamu Kofar Mazugal, said: “The fire started at about 4 to 5am in Gida Maggi section of the market where foodstuffs are sold.
“We saw a thick smoke coming out from the foodstuffs section and we quickly alerted the fire fighters “.
He said foodstuffs such as gari, beans and beverages as well as other properties were burnt.

INEC Office in Rivers State Burnt Down

All Progressives Congress (APC) in river state has said Governor Nyesom Wike should be held responsible for the burning of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC’s) office on Friday, July 22, 2016.
The party alleged that Wike had earlier threatened the INEC chairman, Senator Magnus Abe and its chairman, Davies Ikanya.
A statement released by the party also said “We now know better what he meant. His boys burnt INEC office in Bori just because Bori is the senatorial headquarters of Rivers South-East where Sen. Magnus Abe hails from.
